The Writing Prompts and Story Starters Blog is Created by

- I'm a full-time writer, with one foot in the commercial world and the other... actually, I'm not too sure. These writing prompts and story starters are entirely original and created as much to help me limber up each day as to help other writers who may be struggling to stoke their creative fires. My short stories have appeared in All Hallows, Murky Depths, Morpheus Tales and the Best New Tales of the Apocalypse anthology from Permuted Press. Reviews: Tangent Online described Today is Not from Murky Depths #1 as "easily the most intense" in that issue, "a jagged and chilling tale". Tangent Online also described my story Written in Water from Forgotten Worlds #4 as "a terrific premise... a very taut and very well-written suspense piece... themes reminiscent of Philip K. Dick." Today is Not was described by SFRevu as "one of those tales that just gets more chilling as it goes on." Sci-Fi UK said of my story And Everything but Wretchedness Forgotten, "[it] reflects upon modern questions about war, recalling savagery we are supposed to have moved beyond, and sparks debate over the very nature of war."
